The "Rembrandt of Bondage" Robert/Bob Bishop was Gord's inspiration for his famous Bishop Stand. Bishop's early work in the 70's and 80's could be found in Harmony Publications, Fanni Hall comics and then later the House of Milan. Gord brought to life a few of Bishop's illustrations including the intimidating and strict Bishop Stand.
