Based on the 20th century Expressionism the 21st century, New Expressionism founded by Alex Dirk Freyling revitalizes the original intention of the expressionists to create art from the free uncensored emotional basis of human beings focused on their hopes, fears, sensual and sexual needs. Authentic erotic moments are used as tools of expression. 21st century New Expressionism and their protagonists reflect on the inseparable complex unit of existing modern society, politics, Eros and basic needs. “Nature vs/and Human Believes”. Modern ART, politics, sex, morals are all part issues of one big tragedy played by human beings who are removed from their base, stultified and void of intuition, so it seems. 21st century New Expressionism and their artists revitalize the importance, the responsibility and the meaning of the authentic individual by creating a variety of politically motivated ART (installations).
