Rosie has a love hate relationship with needle play. She loves the feelings it gives her, that floaty, giggly subspace feeling, but she hates the pain as the needles pierce her flesh. I take her through the experience slowly, reminding her to breathe with each needle, to relax and try to embrace the pain, rather than fighting it. She does. Gentle caresses sooth her when the pain becomes almost too intense, right at the edges of what she is able to handle, and soon she is asking for larger gague needles, in more sensitive places. In the end, she finds her peaceful, happy place as I hold her.
